    About Trip

A 12 day journey into the most beautiful place in all of Nepal!

It is said that Rara Lake National Park is “a taste of Heaven!” Nepal’s largest natural lake is situated in western Nepal, surrounded on several sides by the snowcapped peaks of the mighty Himalayas.

The blueness of the lake will literally take your breath away the first time you see it. The lake’s water is so pure you can drink from it. The depth of the lake (167 meters) allows for perfect reflection of the high mountain peaks that surround it.

Rara Lake is considered by many to be the most beautiful place in all of the Himalayas. In the past, it has been a very expensive journey to reach this incredibly remote place. But Trekking Explore Nepal is the first trekking company to offer a low cost alternative to reach incredible place.

It is a 12 day trip, with four days of trekking. The trip is moderately easy with amazing views. The days will be spent exploring the natural beauty of Rara Lake. In the evenings, spend your nights at one of two resorts that are situated on the northwestern shore of Rara Lake.

The traditional way to reach Rara Lake has been through expensive flights which don’t fly to Mugu District on a regular basis. Even scheduled flights don’t always fly as advertised. Instead, Trekking Explore Nepal has organized a more reliable approach by bus, which is also much less expensive than flying.

No other company can offer you this much adventure for such a reasonable price. Once you have experienced the alpine beauty of Nepal’s largest lake, you will be hard-pressed to find anything so spectacular as Rara Lake.
