Someone who has worked hand in hand with Mansingh and shares his great love for Nepal is Linda Stevenson Cromer. Linda is from Connecticut in USA, and she continues to make repeated visits to this remote land. She is a registered nurse in America, and has taught English in Barpak, Gorkha District. She donated for internet connection in schools and earthquake relief materials in Barpak which was the epicenter of the devastating 2015 earthquake.
There is nothing like having good advisors to help keep a company on the forefront of success. One of those people that have helped to shape Trekking Explore Nepal is Ryan Saville. Ryan was born in New Zealand and now lives in Australia. He has done numerous treks with Mansingh in Nepal and has been a volunteer teacher in Barpak. One of his contributions was to return back to Australia and bring back hundreds of laptop computers for mountain village students to learn on.
Prem Dhungel has been a trekking guide for the past five years. Hailing from eastern Nepal, he has plenty of experience in high altitudes and knows how to deal with altitude sickness and prevention. Prem is young, energetic and enthusiastic in everything he does, and like Mansingh, shares a great love for the mountains. He is fluent in both English and German as well as his native Nepali.
Carrying heavy packs is just a way of life in the high Himalayas where there are no roads. Dhan Bahadur Gurung is from Barpak, Gorkha, Nepal and grew up without cars or trucks. From a young age, he learned to carry packs as well as to walk sure-footed on the narrow trails between villages. He’s done a number of 5000+ meter passes with ease while carrying heavy packs. He’s fun to be with, has a great sense of humor and is very reliable.
