    About Trip

15 days into the most beautiful place in the Himalayas

Everyone’s favorite place in Nepal is not Mt. Everest: it’s the beautiful Annapurna Region west of Kathmandu! And it’s no wonder as this area contains nearly 60 snowcapped peaks, including the 10th highest mountain in the world.

The Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) Trek takes you on a journey deep into the Annapurna Mountain Range.  You will trek to Annapurna Base Camp takes you to the starting point of those who chose to climb Mt. Annapurna I. Rising to an elevation of 8,091 meters, Annapurna I is the 10th highest mountain and tallest one on the Annapurna Range. But it is surrounded by many more snowcapped peaks whose brilliant whiteness penetrates the deep blue skies of the Himalayas.

The ABC Trek includes sunrise over Poon Hill, the most famous as well as most popular place to watch sunrise over the mighty Himalayas.  Here you can stand and watch the snowcapped peaks go from grey to reddish orange and finally a brilliant white that is almost too bright to look upon.

The ABC trek is a total of 15 days, with actual trekking days being just eleven. You will see quaint native villages and terraced farms, beautiful wildflowers, hidden waterfalls and deep canyons. The vegetation goes from sub-tropical near the city of Pokhara to alpine as you crest to the top of mountain passes.

The ABC trek is a moderate trek, and can be done by anyone in good physical condition. It is done by people of all ages who are rewarded with these incredible views of the most beautiful mountain range in all of the Himalayas.
